1st Annual IDA Show Ride

To Support The Wounded Warrior Project

Safe-Way invites dealers and manufacturers to participate in Expo Ride 2010. Safe-Way dedicates the ride to our troops and will donate $2500 to the Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of the IDA!

Ride Overview

The ride will depart Warsaw, Indiana Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. Riders will stop for the 1st night in Springfield, Missouri, the 2nd night (Sunday, April 18) in Amarillo, Texas, the third night (Monday, April 19) in Winslow, Arizona, and will ride into Las Vegas on the fourth day (Tuesday, April 20). Safe-Way will have a “Sag Wagon” (Pickup truck and trailer capable of hauling two bikes) that will follow the ride group in the event of any issues.

Dealers/Manufacturers that wish to join the ride may do so at any point. Starting in Warsaw is not a requirement. If you do wish to join the ride along the way, it will either need to be at one of the overnight locations, or arrangements will need to be made with the ride leader to determine a meeting point. The ride leader will set the pace in order to hit the targeted locations nightly. You may ride at your own pace if you wish. Notify the ride leader if you choose to ride at a different pace than the group.

Route

Riders will head East from Warsaw on route 30 connecting with Interstate 69 south in Fort Wayne. Interstate 69 South will be taken to Interstate 70 West in Indianapolis and taken into St. Louis. Interstate 44 will be picked up in St. Louis and taken to Springfield, MO for the first evening. Interstate 44 South will be taken from Springfield to Oklahoma City, OK where Interstate 40 West will be picked up. Interstate 40 West will be taken through Texas, New Mexico, and through the majority of Arizona. In Western Arizona, Highway 93 will be picked up and taken into Las Vegas.

Registration

Please register by filling out the attached registration form. Submit the form using the contact numbers/addresses on the form. Registration deadline is April 9, 2010. Contact Bryan Horton at bhorton@safewaydoor.com with any questions relative to registration or ride details.

Motorcycle "Haul Back"

For those riders that wish to have their motorcycles hauled back from Las Vegas rather than ride back home, there are several companies that provide this service. We have researched this and found that Federal Motorcycle Transport has a great reputation and solid rates. Details on quotes and their services can be found at www.funtransport.com. Additionally, for those riders who have Harley Davidson’s, Harley dealerships will often arrange transportation of Harley’s.
